Two men were captured this Sunday, April 26, in sector 10 of Villa Hermosa, San Miguel Petapa, when they were trying to sell on social networks a vehicle reported stolen on April 20, after an operation coordinated by the National Civil Police (PNC) and the owner of the vehicle.
The detainees were identified as Wilmer, alias “El Negro”, 27 years old, and Mario, alias “Turuy”, 30. Both were transferred to the cells of the Court Tower.
The capture occurred when the sale of the car was supposedly going to take place. Instead of a buyer, police officers arrived.
The owner of the vehicle, days after the theft, searched on social networks for similar models and detected that his was offered on Facebook Marketplace.
Due to the above, he alerted agents of the National Civil Police (PNC), who devised a plan to locate the alleged perpetrators and agreed to a meeting to finalize the purchase of the car.
Authorities have not detailed whether the case is assigned to a particular court; Otherwise, the court on duty must inform them of the reason for the arrest and schedule the first statement hearing.
