Daddy Yankee and Shenseea present “Echo”, the new official single of the 2026 World Cup

FIFA presented this Tuesday “Echo”, the third single from the official album of the 2026 World Cup, in a collaboration that brings together two of the most influential reggaeton and dancehall artists worldwide. Daddy Yankee and Jamaican artist Shenseea joined forces to create a song that combines urban energy, Caribbean rhythms and electronic touches in a song designed to accompany the global excitement of the tournament that will be held in Mexico, Canada and the United States starting June 11.

The song was executive produced by Tainy, the renowned Puerto Rican artist who has won several Grammy Awards, who was also in charge of “Por Ella”, another of the singles from the official album. “Echo” also includes a fragment of the song “Red & Black Light” by Ibrahim Maalouf and has the production participation of Massari, Adium, Jota Rosa and Albert Hype, which gives it a sonorous dimension that transcends genres and cultural borders. The song is now available on all major streaming platforms.

With “Echo”, the official album of the 2026 World Cup adds its third song after the previous release of “Lighter” and “Por Ella”, little by little building a musical project that seeks to connect cultures through football and music.

“It is wonderful to unite the world through music and football, it allows us to establish relationships that transcend languages and borders”expressed Daddy Yankee about the collaboration, while Shenseea added that “music and football speak a universal language and being part of something that unites the world in this way is special”.

Football and music

The release of “Echo” has generated great expectations on social networks, especially due to the return of Daddy Yankee to a project with global reach after his temporary retirement from the stage. Fans celebrate the musical chemistry between both artists and the song aims to become one of the most recognizable anthems of the largest tournament in the history of football.

With each new single, the official album of the 2026 World Cup builds a broader cultural story where music and football intertwine to create a shared experience worldwide.

A few weeks before the start of the competition, the tournament’s soundtrack already has its own identity with a mix of sounds that reflects the cultural diversity of the three host countries and the 48 teams that will participate in the World Cup event.
