This Tuesday, April 28, the Parc des Princes experienced a night that European football will hardly forget. Paris Saint-Germain beat Bayern Munich 5-4 in the first leg of the 2025-26 UEFA Champions League semi-finals, in a match with nine goals that had everything and that left the current champion with an advantage heading into the second leg on Wednesday, May 6 at the Allianz Arena.

Bayern struck first with a penalty from Harry Kane in the 17th minute, but PSG responded forcefully. Kvaratskhelia opened the Paris scoring in the 24th minute and João Neves extended the lead in the 33rd minute, before Michael Olise pulled one back for the Bavarians in the 41st minute.

As the first half was winding down, Ousmane Dembélé took another penalty at 45+5 to send the Parisians into the break with a 3-2 lead in what was a first half of five goals and maximum intensity.

In the second half the pace did not slow down. Kvaratskhelia completed his double in the 56th and Dembélé also scored his second goal in the 58th to make it 5-2, but Bayern never gave up. Upamecano scored in the 65th minute and Luis Díaz in the 68th minute tightened the score even more for the final 5-4 that keeps the tie completely open. The Colombian was even able to score a 5-5 tie but the play was annulled due to offside in an action that could have completely changed the outlook of the match.
