As the minutes passed, those led by Martín García regained control of the game and, in the 53rd minute, Ángel Cabrera got a penalty after overcoming the rival defense. Marcos Acosta made the charge, but his shot was stopped by Kevin Moscoso, who dived towards his left post.
After the missed penalty, Cobán lost intensity and Mixco looked for the discount. At minute 72, the local team was left with one less player after the expulsion of Carlos Joaquín Flores, after a foul on a rival player. With numerical inferiority, Cobán delayed lines and resisted the attempts of the visiting team, who were unable to score.
