The authorities reported this May 2 about the seizure of several firearms during an operation at the Santo Tomás de Castilla Port, Izabal.
The National Civil Police (PNC) indicated in a publication on social networks that, in addition to weapons, magazines and ammunition were found.
For its part, the Ministry of the Interior explained that the Weapons seized were eight AK-47s, two rifles and a pistol.
They also seized 19 magazines and six ammunition.
“The PNC established that what was seized was destined Nentón, Huehuetenango, and La Libertad, Petén“said the Ministry on social networks.
Both authorities shared photographs in where the seized weapons are observed.
