Anitta It was the first surprise. She appeared halfway through the megaconcert to perform “Choka Choka,” a song recently released by both artists, with which they made the audience vibrate.

Although it was an open secret, the presence of the Brazilian was confirmed when she appeared on the catwalk with a suit as bright as Shakira’s, whom she called “rainha” (queen) when greeting her.

The second guest, Caetano Veloso, performed together with the Colombian O leãozinho, one of the Brazilian classics, with which they evoked the tenderness of children’s songs.

The singer-songwriter was one of the first artists that Shakira discovered when she arrived in Brazil at the age of 18, when she made her first tours in that country.

“What an honor,” said the Colombian.

As if that were not enough, María Bethânia, Caetano’s sister and another of the great figures of music in that country, took the stage to sing with the Barranquilla woman “O que é, o que é”, a Gonzaguinha song that exalts life, accompanied by the batuque of a samba drum set.

Caetano, 83-year-old guitarist and singer-songwriter, and María Bethânia, 79-year-old singer, guitarist and composer, were not the last guests.

The round ended with Ivete Sangalo, with whom the Colombian sang “Um País Tropical,” a song they had already performed together in 2011, at Rock in Rio.

Shakira’s concert this Saturday, with an estimated two million attendees, is the largest presentation of her career and the first of this magnitude by a Latin artist.
