PMT explains how the circulation of vehicles is due to work on the Lomas del Norte overpass

The Municipal Transit Police (PMT) reported that, starting this Monday, May 4, the Ministry of Communications will reduce lanes on the Lomas del Norte viaduct, due to infrastructure repairs.

Amílcar Montejo, PMT road spokesperson, explained that, due to the work, They will use the auxiliary lane to the maximum; In addition, a reversible lane is enabled.

The work is taking place at kilometer 5.6 of the route to the Atlantic, heading to the Belize Bridge.

Montejo warned of possible complications in traffic due to lane reduction, added to the developments that occur during the day.

He stressed that agents expedite and give priority to traffic coming from zone 18 towards the Belize bridge.

In the area there is signage and organization of bus stops, as well as verification of compliance with restrictions for heavy and cargo transportation.

Cracks more than two inches wide in the Lomas del Norte overpass have caused concern. The cracks are visible from the top of the overpass and extend through the structure to the bottom, with openings up to two inches wide.
