BYD and Cofiño officially presented, together with BYD Club customers, the vehicle that integrates DM-i plug-in hybrid technology, developed to offer efficient, quiet driving and aimed at reducing fuel consumption.

The arrival of the BYD Yuan Pro-DM-i adds to the development of the brand’s portfolio in the Guatemalan market and reflects BYD’s interest in continuing to expand its offer of mobility solutions with cleaner and more efficient technologies.

“The BYD Yuan Pro DM-i represents a new generation of mobility: more conscious, more accessible and aligned with the future we want to build. Each BYD vehicle that comes to Guatemala is a real step towards our global vision of cooling the planet and transforming the way we move,” said Edward Davis, BYD Regional Brand Manager for Cofiño.

The model has 290 HP of power and a combined range of more than 1,000 kilometers, which makes it an option designed for both urban mobility and longer distance routes.

Its cabin includes a panoramic roof, wireless charging, wireless connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as a 360° camera system that provides a more complete view of the environment while driving.

In terms of safety, the Yuan Pro DM-i incorporates advanced driving assistance systems (ADAS) and has a 5-star NCAP safety rating. In addition, it is equipped with BYD’s Blade Battery, a technology recognized for its standards of durability, stability and performance.

With this launch, BYD reaffirms its commitment to the development of sustainable mobility in Guatemala, by making available to the market a model that combines technology, efficiency, safety and connectivity.
