Celebrates first master’s degree graduation in the United States

The first graduation of its master’s programs took place at the Fort Lauderdale Marriott Coral Springs Hotel & Convention Center, in Florida, United States. It brought together 27 professionals who successfully completed their postgraduate studies 100% online and in Spanish, under a flexible model designed for those seeking to continue their training without interrupting their work life.

Graduates are part of programs such as the Master in Business Administration (MBA), the Master in Leadership and Human Talent Management and the Master in Education for Virtual Environments, areas that are focused on strengthening key competencies in business, leadership and organizational development.

“This first graduation represents a firm step in our vision of building an education without borders. At ILUNI we believe that talent has no geographical limits, and our commitment is to continue bringing real training opportunities to migrant communities that seek to grow professionally,” commented Mynor A. Herrera Quiroz, CEO of ILUNI.

ILUNI is an online university based in the United States, focused on providing access to higher education to the Latino migrant community. In alliance with UPANA, it promotes training opportunities, especially for graduates seeking to continue their postgraduate studies in a flexible modality.

The graduates of this first cohort reflect a geographic diversity mainly between Guatemala and the United States, evidencing how higher education becomes a key tool to strengthen the professional development of migrant communities.

“This achievement reflects that it is possible to achieve academic and professional goals, even in challenging contexts. It represents effort, perseverance and access to real opportunities for our students,” said Ana Gabriela Hernández, director of Communication and Marketing at UPANA.

Since its inception in 2024, ILUNI has registered the entry of approximately 100 students into its different programs, consolidating an educational model that allows them to advance in their training without pausing their work responsibilities. Its academic proposal responds to the need for flexible, practical and culturally relevant options for Latino students.

The choice of Florida as the venue for this first graduation responds to both its institutional establishment in the United States and its focus on the Latino migrant community in this country, thus reinforcing its identity and international projection.

With this first graduation, ILUNI consolidates its international presence within the framework of its alliance with UPANA, reaffirming the role of higher education as an engine of development and generator of opportunities for migrant communities in a global environment.
