The Departmental Municipal Firefighters of Tecpán Guatemala reported at 1:05 p.m. on May 9 about a strong traffic accident on the Inter-American route.
At kilometer 101 of the CA-1 West route A truck and a pick-up truck collided.
Firefighters provided pre-hospital care to four people, who required urgent medical care, for which they were transferred to the Tecpán Guatemala Hospital, Chimaltenangoincluding two minors.
According to the paramedics, two people died at the scene of the accident, a man and a woman.
The collision blocks two lanesso the road authorities enabled a reversible lane to regulate mobility in the sector.
In images shared by the relief corps it is observed that the truck was carrying boxes with vegetables and left the road until he was stuck in the ground.
