What will the new space for concerts and other shows in Guatemala be like?

Arena Gallo is a space that will host multiple cultural, social and entertainment activities, and will be located on Austriaco Boulevard.

With the presence of guests and the media, it was presented this Thursday night, the venue hopes to attract between five thousand and 14,500 people per activity.

Arena Cayalá, scheduled to be delivered in 2027, will be a center for conventions, concerts and massive events.

With this arena and Futeca District, the organizers claim that they are part of the growth of the entertainment industry.

Gustavo Zachrisson, from Zacsa, commented that this place is defined by the activities it will host and that it constitutes a platform for Guatemala to appear on the map of large concerts and corporate and sporting events. “It is an investment of more than US$90 million (more than Q697 billion),” he explained.

The interior spaces of the arena are inspired by volcanoes, lakes, textures, nature and elements representative of the Guatemalan identity.

Zachrisson, from Zacsa, adds that more than 1,500 jobs were generated in the construction phase and that “Arena Gallo is not defined by the concrete, nor by the structure, but as the platform for Guatemala to be on the map of the world’s great events. Because it is no longer just about bringing events, but about how they are experienced, raising the quality, expectations and industry. We sow the idea, but we also bring it to reality, because in the end, important projects are not built by just one person, are built with a shared vision.”

The organizers commented that this project began about seven years ago. The space has more than 90 thousand square meters and will become a world-class platform.

Juan Pablo García, from Facto, stated that this venue will be the leader in the region. “It is more than a new infrastructure. It represents Guatemala’s ability to think big, build with vision and create projects that transform the way we live the experience,” García added.

The venue will have different areas, such as lounges, VIP clubs and bars, and each space will be inspired by Guatemala.

In addition, there will be pedestrian routes, access areas and more than 7,500 parking spaces between Ciudad Cayalá, Arena Gallo and surrounding areas.

The companies behind this space are Factor, Asa Promoticos, Zacsa Estudio and Ciudad Cayalá.
