Darwin Lom continues to be a protagonist in Bolivia. The Guatemalan striker scored the only goal this Thursday in The Strongest’s 1-0 victory over Always Ready at the El Alto Municipal Stadium, in a direct duel for the leadership of the Bolivian Professional Division during matchday 7 of the competition.
With this goal, Lom reached four goals in the season and continues to establish himself as one of the most important pieces of the starting team under the direction of his coach. The national attacker is going through one of his best moments since his arrival in Bolivian soccer.
The goal came in the 38th minute after a collective play on the right wing. Adrián Estacio gained depth and sent a cross to the far post, where Darwin Lom appeared to define with precision and score the final 0-1 as a visitor.
Before the end of the first half, the Guatemalan striker received a yellow card, although he managed to complete the 90 minutes of the match. His performance was once again decisive in a key match for The Strongest’s aspirations in the championship.

With this result, The Strongest remains undefeated in the Professional Division with five wins and two draws to add 17 points and consolidate itself as the absolute leader of the tournament. Always Ready, one of their main pursuers, was third with 14 points after losing at home.
The Strongest’s next match will be this Sunday, May 17, when they host Oriente Petrolero with the aim of expanding their advantage at the top of the Bolivian Professional Division. Darwin Lom’s team is going through a great moment and will seek to remain undefeated at home.
The good performance of the former Communications forward does not go unnoticed outside of Bolivia either. His performances with The Strongest profile him as one of those called up for the Guatemala National Team for the next FIFA Date prior to the 2026 World Cup.
