This Saturday, May 16, 2026, the third edition of the Guatemala Game Show (GGS3)an event that has brought together thousands of video game and eSports fans for three years.

This year’s venue was the Parque de la Industria, where exhibition stands for robotics, video game developers, eSports activities, gaming, virtual sports, FITE Games, cosplayers, K-pop and anime culture, as well as tournaments minecraftnational rankings, simulators, virtual reality and LEGO activities.

“A lot of people have come; it’s full here. The truth is that it has generated a lot of interest because We had 17 simultaneous national rankings, that is, an average of 40 players per tournament dedicated to eSport. So, the truth is that it has worked very well,” explained organizer Pablo Melgar during the event.

Among the most anticipated activities were the combats of phygital fightingwhere Professional fighters, such as Ángel “el Negro” Molina and Erick “la Pericka” Ruano, faced each other first in a virtual competition and then in real fights in the octagon.

Melgar added that Fans of all ages attended, from children to seniors, looking for healthy entertainment and family fun spaces.

“There are children, adults, people from schools, universities, municipalities and churches; all those who enjoy gaming They came to have a good time, create a community and learn about different things.”, he said.

The activity will end at 8 p.m. this Saturday, May 16, 2026where the organizers expected between 10,000 and 12,000 attendees at the Industry Park.

The GGS3 and the tournaments were supported by the Electronic Sports Association of Guatemala (ADEG)which develops esports at the national level and represents Guatemala in international competitions. The participants were even able to show their talent to be invited to them.
