Anti-Kidnapping Command releases a person who was held for 18 days and for whom they were asking for Q4 million to free him

In an operation by the Anti-Kidnapping Command of the National Civil Police (PNC) and the General Subdirectorate of Criminal Investigation, this Wednesday, May 20, a 49-year-old person who had been kidnapped was released safely.

During the police action, three alleged kidnappers were also captured in the village of Ulche, San Pedro Soloma, Huehuetenango, the PNC reported.

The detainees were identified as Sindy “N”, 40 years old; José “N”, 35, and Marvin “N”, 36, the police report added.

According to the investigation, the kidnapping occurred on May 2 in Salcajá, Quetzaltenango. Since then, the PNC followed up on the case and developed an operation that made it possible to locate the victim and capture the alleged perpetrators, who demanded Q4 million to release her.

After the rescue, the victim received medical attention from the General Subdirectorate of Police Health and will later be transferred by air to a healthcare center.

The three detainees were placed at the disposal of the respective court.
