The Anti-Kidnapping Command of the National Civil Police (PNC) rescued a victim of kidnapping this Tuesday, June 9, according to reports.
The rescue was carried out during an operation in the Candelaria settlement, El Limón neighborhood, zone 18.
According to preliminary information, three alleged kidnappers were captured.
“They released a person who was being held against his will,” reported the Ministry of the Interior.
The captures were made in a house in the aforementioned colony.
A similar case occurred on May 20, 2026, when the PNC captured three alleged kidnappers in Huehuetenango and released a victim, as reported on that occasion.
The PNC expanded on that occasion that the kidnapping occurred on May 2, 2026 in Salcajá, Quetzaltenango. Since then, he followed up on the case and developed an operation that made it possible to locate the victim and capture the alleged perpetrators, who demanded Q4 million to free her.
