Beauty, friendliness, elegance, glamor and intelligence will walk the catwalk of Miss Guatemala Contest 2026 this Sunday, June 14, at a special gala where will crown the next representatives of the country on an international level.
“Our goal is to present to the public a world-class show, with international guests and 20 candidates who will compete for the crowns we deliver. We have an epic setup in a very beautiful location and an exciting, interesting and exciting program”says José Martínez, vice president of Miss Guatemala Contest.
The candidates, whose roots are in different departments of the country, They will enhance their beauty with various costumes, such as the opening one, designed by the organization, as well as a swimsuit and evening dress. They will also participate in a round of questions on various topics.
“We will make a first cut to the top 12 and, from there, we will have another round of qualification, in which we will be able to see, through interviews and questions, the eloquence and main interest of the candidates in choosing the crowns available that night,” explains Martínez.
The first of the 12 finalists will be chosen by the public through the Best in Swimsuit vote.through the official page of Miss Guatemala Contest. Voting is active and will close on Sunday, June 14, just before starting that phase.
“We are choosing the best swimsuit wearer through a vote on a platform whose Results are completely transparent and internationally audited by the company that provides the service,” he adds.
Among other recognitions that will be awarded are those of best figure, smile, hair, face, elegance, artistic talent, friendliness, photogenic and popular vote.
However, The focus will be mainly on the six crowns awarded by the contest:
- Miss World
- Miss International
- Miss Supranational
- Miss Grand
- Miss Cosmo
- Spanish American Queen
“We plan to deliver six crowns. The organization has more, but the seventh will be subject to the performance of the candidates, because we can probably name a queen from previous years,” explains Martínez. He adds that, if applicable, the seventh crown would be that of Miss Charm Guatemala.
The decision will be made by a jury made up of experts in aesthetics and beauty pageants:

- Héctor Ortiz: cardiologist
- María Luisa Gómez: Guatevisión

This edition will also have special guests, such as the Colombian Catalina Duque, crowned Miss International 2025 in Tokyo, and the Filipino Emma Tiglao, Miss Grand International 2025who will contribute to analyzing the candidates’ profiles.
“We hope to find six queens who are committed, disciplined and with the interest and desire to represent Guatemala in the best way, and who will carry the name of Guatemala high. The international representations that we have had in recent years have been very successful and we believe that with this new crop of candidates we will bring much more success to our country,” says Martínez.
The 20 finalists who will compete for the titles this Sunday were selected from more than 200 candidates who applied to participate. They are:

Miss Guatemala Contest will be held this Sunday, June 14, 2026, at 7 p.m. Guatevisión will broadcast the event live on channel 12 of the Tigo and Claro cable services, as well as on its website.
