Seven raids in Villa Canales leave two captured, weapons, drugs and tactical equipment confiscated

Seven raids carried out in different sectors of Villa Canales by researchers from the Police Information Division (DIP) and prosecutors of the Public Ministry (MP) left as a result two people captured and the confiscation of weapons fire, drugs, ammunition and tactical equipmentas part of the follow-up to an anonymous complaint related to illegal activities in the municipality.

In the raided property, the authorities located a gunthree chargers—among them one snail type—, 43 ammunition of different calibers and a DVR device that will be incorporated into the investigations.

During another operation carried out in the Chichimecas villagewas captured Damaris “N”, 38 years oldalso noted by illegal possession of firearm. Two pistols, three magazines, ammunition, 18 bags with marijuanathree blisters with crack stones, 20 capsules and 12 fangs with cocainein addition to cash.

The authorities reported that, in another property in the same village, they were located five blisters with crack stones, 120 capsules with cocaine, 90 plastic containers with cocaine and 10 bags with marijuanasigns that strengthen the investigations related to retail drug distribution.

They seize bulletproof vests and equipment used to dispense drugs

As part of the raids, investigators also seized two bulletproof vests, two radio transmitters, a digital scale allegedly used for drug dosage and a gun case.

The PNC indicated that investigations continue to strengthen the corresponding judicial processes and establish whether there are more people linked to the illegal activities detected during the operations in Villa Canales.
