Police from the General Subdirectorate of Anti-Drug Information Analysis, in coordination with the Quetzaltenango Anti-Human Trafficking Prosecutor’s Office, carried out raids in Retalhuleu that left 14 arrests; Of these, 11 were for arrest warrants and three in flagrante delicto.
The National Civil Police (PNC) expanded that the arrests were for the crimes of illicit association, human trafficking in the form of sexual exploitation and money or other asset laundering.
Also for promotion, facilitation or favoring of prostitution and self-concealment.
During the proceedings there were also people caught flagrante delicto for the possible commission of the crime of promoting or encouraging drug addiction.
In addition, five firearms, drugs and Q36,979 were seized.
Among what was seized were also two vehicles, nine motorcycles and 10 cell phones, which will serve to strengthen the investigation processes.
