Two people involved in assaults are linked to criminal proceedings and sent to preventive detention

A judge on duty linked Rubilio Bernardino Morales and Herbert Oswaldo del Cid, two alleged assailants captured in zone 11 during a police operation, to criminal proceedings, judicial sources reported this Friday, June 12.

Both were captured on June 9 during a Plan Traffic Light operation. The authorities seized a vehicle in which they tried to escape, as well as a revolver with ammunition.

The judge ordered their admission to the Preventive Center for Men in zone 18. In addition, they will be investigated for the crime of illegal transport and/or transfer of firearms.

It was reported that they will later be summoned to a first statement hearing at the Villa Nueva Justice Center for the crime of aggravated robbery.

Videos spread on social networks show that they were allegedly responsible for the robbery of a group of women in Villa Nueva, in front of an educational center. In addition, they would be linked to robberies in zones 9 and 11, as well as in Amatitlán and Villa Nueva.

The Organized Crime Prosecutor’s Office is in charge of the investigation against the two men.
