As the current world champion, the Argentina National Team will wear a commemorative patch that identifies the defender of the title won in Qatar 2022. The badge appears together with the national shield and highlights the status of current champion during the tournament.
In addition, Argentina is part of the group of world champion teams that carry a special version of the official emblem of the 2026 World Cup.
Together with Brazil, Germany, France, Spain, England and Uruguay, it displays a differentiated version of the tournament logo.
Messi and Draw Martínez
Lionel Messi, who is playing in his sixth World Cup, will wear a special badge reserved for footballers with five or more World Cup appearances.
The Argentine captain shares that group with players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Luka Modrić, Manuel Neuer, Guillermo Ochoa and Yuto Nagatomo.
For his part, Emiliano Martínez will wear the badge that recognizes the winners of individual awards in previous editions of the World Cup, after having obtained the Golden Glove in Qatar 2022.
The debutants
Several members of the Argentine squad will wear a patch that identifies their first participation in a World Cup. Among them are footballers such as Nicolás Paz, Valentín Barco, Giuliano Simeone, Marcos Senesi and other players who are facing their debut in the highest international competition.
The shirts also incorporate the official 2026 World Cup shield and the institutional badges approved by FIFA for this edition of the tournament.
Beyond their identifying function, these elements reflect individual and collective sporting milestones of the participating players and teams.
Argentina will begin the defense of the title obtained in Qatar 2022 against Algeria, in one of the most anticipated matches of the first day of Group J.
