The acclaimed series Avatar: The Last Airbender will return to the platform streaming Netflix to continue the adventure of Aang, Katara and Sokka, who seek to confront the Fire Nation.

The story follows Aang, considered the Avatar for mastering the four elements – air, water, fire and earth – who must face the Fire Nation, responsible for exterminating the airbenders and seeking to control the Earth Kingdom and the Water tribes.

As the sole airbender, Aang is tasked with restoring the balance fractured by the Fire Nation’s desire for control. However, the first season concludes with the hero after preventing the destruction of the Northern Water Tribe, attacked by Prince Zuko. Without knowing it, Princess Azula conquered Omashu, of the Earth Kingdom, a fact that will embark her on a new mission.

In the midst of the breakdown of order between the nations that control the elements, Aang must face a new challenge: convince the King of Earth to help them in the battle against the fearsome Fire Lord Ozai, highlights Netflix Tudum.

The second season delves into the war with the Fire Nation, which, far from ending, seeks to continue subjugating other territories. This will take Aang and his friends Katara and Sokka, from the Water Tribe, to a new adventure that will arrive on Netflix on June 25.

On the journey to the city of Ba Sing Se, where the Earth King lives, the group will face new challenges and will have the support of a new character: Toph, an earthbender who could help Aang understand the mastery of that element.

While Aang will advance in his training, Prince Zuko will continue his mission to capture the Avatar. Now, also persecuted by the Fire Nation after being identified as a traitor, he will face the dilemma of not knowing if he is on the right path, Tudum highlights.

Executive producers Christine Boylan and Jabbar Raisani revealed to Tudum that this new season will show real versions of iconic scenes from the original series and develop other untold stories.

The producers highlighted that, in this second installment, they will challenge the characters with more complex obstacles so that not only does the plot evolve, but they also grow in the face of the challenges they will face.

In addition, the series already has a third season confirmed, with which the story will continue its development.
