In the second half, Bosnia tried to react with counterattacks, but the United States maintained the advantage despite playing with ten men from the 64th minute, after Balogun was sent off for a strong tackle reviewed by the VAR.
The final blow came in the 82nd minute. Tillman executed a precise free kick and scored the 2-0 that sealed the American qualification.
With this result, the United States will face Belgium in the round of 16. The Belgian team has just defeated Senegal 3-2 in extra time.
