The Guatemalan Army reported that a rescuer from the Humanitarian and Rescue Brigade remains missing in the area of the air accident in San Miguel Pochuta, Chimaltenango.
He added that he coordinates with the relief bodies and the other institutions that make up the National Response System to continue the search for the rescuer, as well as to support the extraction of the deceased.
He explained that, due to the terrain conditions and the complexity of the operations, the deployment of ground units was reinforced to support the search efforts.
He indicated that operations to locate the rescuer continue uninterrupted.
In addition, it maintains all the necessary human, logistical and operational capabilities deployed to address this emergency and will continue to report in a timely manner on its development.
The Volunteer Firefighters reported that the number of deaths in the aircraft accident in he mountainous area of San Miguel Pochuta.
According to the update, two of the deceased have been extracted and brought to the surface.
