This Friday the Historic Center became the stage of the popular strike of Dolores or Bufo Parade of the University of San Carlos de Guatemala, which, between floats, dances and satires to the government on duty, turns 127.
During the afternoon of this April 11, organized students expressed their criticism and even the university authorities themselves, through piñatas, dances, songs or speeches.
While some people who witnessed the strike also protested the various injustices that occur in the country, others say that this long -lived tradition has lost its essence, since they claim that it is no longer a “shout of struggle or awakening.”
The strike ended its career in the National Palace.
