Two bodies were located this Wednesday, July 8, inside plastic bags in the Juana de Arco neighborhood, zone 18 of the capital, the Volunteer Firefighters reported.
The discovery occurred in front of lot 5 of block 25, in front of a church in the sector, where elements of the 50th Volunteer Fire Company went after receiving an alert.
During the preliminary evaluation, lifeguards confirmed that two people were deceased. It is currently unknown whether the victims are men or women.
Víctor Gómez, spokesperson for the Volunteer Firefighters, reported that the victims have not been identified and that they coordinated with the competent authorities to carry out the corresponding procedures.
Agents of the National Civil Police and prosecutors from the Public Ministry process the scene to establish the identity of the victims and determine the circumstances under which the event occurred.
Due to the investigation proceedings, the authorities closed several streets in the sector, which causes complications in vehicular traffic.
So far, the National Civil Police has not provided more details about the case.
