On the third day of the Guatemala International Book Fair (Filgua) 2026the agenda offers a wide variety of activities for the whole family in the more than 150 stands set up in Forum Majadas, zone 11 of Guatemala City.

This space, which celebrates its XXIII edition in the country, is dedicated to the meeting between readers, writers and publishing houses, with the purpose of promoting reading.

For this Thursday there will be activities for all audiences, including the broadcast of the match between Morocco and France in the pavilion of the Filgua 2026 guest country, Germany.

In addition, the first screening of German cinema will be offered, with the presentation of the acclaimed film Hannah Arendtwith which we seek to share part of the cinematographic culture of that country.

During the day, a tribute will also be held to the person to whom Filgua 2026 is dedicated, the Nobel Peace Prize winner Rigoberta Menchú Tum. Likewise, there will be interactive workshops, such as Tak’alik Ab’aj Archeology, and the presentation El Popol Wuj in the words of the Mayans.
