The Municipality of San Lucas Sacatepéquez reported that this Wednesday, July 22, vehicular circulation at kilometer 29 of the Inter-American route, heading west, remains temporarily stopped.
He added that the complications arise from the proceedings carried out by the Public Ministry after an armed attack that occurred in the early hours of the day.
The commune asks drivers to remain calm and heed the instructions of the authorities present at the scene.
He indicated that, to support mobility, a westbound lane was enabled.
In shared images, long lines of vehicles are observed due to the interruption of the passage.
According to local media, at kilometer 29 of the Inter-American route, an armed attack against an extra-urban bus was recorded.
They added that the transport unit was heading to Quiché when it was attacked by unknown individuals. No injuries have been reported.
