The genesis of D Magazine dates back to August 10, 1980, with the emergence of Sundaya family supplement that was published in Free press.

Years later, in 1990, it was renamed Sunday Magazine and, later, Revista D, in 2004.

The first edition of D Magazine was published on July 11, 2004, with reports, interviews, chronicles and opinion columns dedicated to fine arts, society, science, technology, entertainment and travel, among other topics.

Since then, D Magazine has been a spokesperson for Guatemalan culture and, throughout this time, it has modernized.

A new design

In 2026, the year of its 75th anniversary, D Magazine was renewed and features a fresher design—designed for easier reading. In addition, it expands its content offering with local and international information about places to visit, music, movies and travel. It also incorporates a hobby, always of a cultural nature.

The central report and interviews with prominent figures continue as a core part of the magazine. In addition, it preserves articles by guest writers and topics on science and the environment.
