In a raid carried out by the General Subdirectorate of Analysis of Anti-Narcotics Information, in coordination with the Public Ministry, two alleged drug distributors were captured in a property in zone 3 of Río Bravo, Suchitepéquez.
The National Civil Police (PNC) reported this Thursday, July 30, that those captured were identified as Roberto “N”, 44 years old, and Keila “N”, 39.
He added that during the investigation they seized 35 “fangs” with the drug known as “crystal” and four bags containing crack stones.
“The detainees are allegedly dedicated to distributing these illicit substances to young people who study in different educational centers, as well as in establishments where alcoholic beverages are sold and consumed,” according to the PNC.
The police report added that, upon verifying the identity of Keila “N” in the PNC databases, it was established that there was an arrest warrant for the crime of possession or carrying of firearms with an altered, deleted or not legally marked registration number by the General Directorate of Arms and Ammunition Control.
Other catches
In other cases, the PNC reported that, as a result of a raid carried out in zone 1 of San Marcos, Dagny “N”, 36 years old, was captured. In the property they located a marijuana wrapper, a bag with marijuana, 10 plastic containers with possible cocaine, 23 crack wrappers, an electronic scale, money and cell phones. The evidence was packaged for the corresponding investigations, the PNC said.
In another operation, investigators captured Edvib “N”, 38, in the village of Cerro Colorado, Jutiapa, from whom they seized four “fangs” with cocaine.
