An alleged drug trafficker nicknamed “Chipi” was arrested for extradition purposes, in Zacapa.
Anti -narcotics agents of the National Civil Police (PNC) captured Steven Ovaldino Lorenzana Alvarenga, alias “Chipi”, who had an arrest warrant for extradition purposes to the United States, under charges related to drug trafficking, police sources reported.
The apprehension was carried out during an operation in La Palma village, Río Hondo, Zacapa.
According to the police report, the arrest warrant was issued for extradition purposes to the United States, for the position of conspiracy to distribute five kilograms or more than one mixture and substance with a detectable amount of cocaine, with knowledge, intention and reasonable cause to believe that such substance would be illegally imported to that country.
In addition, it is required to use a firearm during and in relation to a drug trafficking crime, as well as by having a firearm with the purpose of facilitating said crime.
