According to the International Entity, Holy Week in Guatemala is characterized by particular elements, among which processions, vigils, funeral marches, Seasonal gastronomy and the elaboration of altars and floral upholstery.

For this reason, the law establishes that certain days of Holy Week are granted as a rest with salary enjoyment, so that Guatemalans can commemorate this religious holiday or perform other activities.

The Guatemalans will rest from April 17 to 19, 2025. These dates correspond to Thursday, Friday and Saturday respectivelyin accordance with the provisions of the Labor Code.
