The Guatemalan Javier Zepeda lamented this Saturday, April 12, the tragedy occurred at the Jet Set disco, in Santo Domingo, in which 226 people died, including his exasisant, Yokairy Gloribel Pujols Martínezwho worked with him during his management as an ambassador of Guatemala in the Dominican Republic.
In an interview with Free press and GuatevisiónZepeda reported that he traveled to that country to solidarity with the families of the victims, especially with that of his exasisantwho collaborated with him for more than two years.
He added that, when he arrived, he found a country devastated by the tragedy. In addition, he commented that during the time he was ambassador he cultivated many friendships, some of which lost their lives in the disco, and others were injured.
We found a devastated country, with a very beaten mood, since one enters the airport, the girl who teaches one the passport, to the people on the street, are really extremely affected, Zepeda said.
He recalled that Pujols was a 31 -year -old girl, mother of three children and very hardworking.
He was a person who had the world ahead, worked a lot without limitation of schedules, regardless of that he had three children and, then, was divorced. Then, she took care of her children, but she never had a no and always had an answer. He had an attitude of collaboration, he studied a lot in the diplomatic career and had an incredible future, Zepeda said.
Son of former senator
Zepeda added that he also presented his condolences to the former president of the Senate, Eduardo Estrella, who lost his son in the tragedy.
He added that the young man died with his wife, since they both went to the disco to celebrate their 10 months of marriage.
We cultivate a good friendship with both Eduardo Dad and Eduardo son, but hey, he died with his wife. It is another of the many dramatic cases that exist now, and it really is shocking, he said.
Finally, Zepeda indicated that, following the tragedy, many families will be disintegrated.
