The 18th day of the Clausura 2025 Tournament of the National League of Guatemala Avanza and the results of Saturday have moved the top positions of the general table.
Antigua GFC and communications added important victories in their respective meetings, which allows them to stand firm in the fight for leadership in the regular phase of the championship.
Municipal, in the absence of his game this Sunday, remains a leader with 30 points. The reds have the opportunity to expand their advantage if they achieve a positive result against Mixco as a visitor. However, they already feel the direct pressure of their main persecutors.
Antigua GFC climbed second after beating Imperial Cobán 2-1. The Green Panzas came from the back to trace the score with goals from Robinson Flores and Dewinder Bradley, thus adding 28 points and confirming their good moment in the tournament.
Communications, meanwhile, achieved his third consecutive victory by imposing himself by the minimum difference of Achuapa with a goal from Rafael Morales. With this result, the creams reached 26 points and rise to third place in the table, thanks to their best goals.
In the fourth place, Imperial Cobán appears, also with 26 units, but with a goal of difference inferior to the communications, so they lower a step after their defeat in the thoughtful stadium.
The fight in the upper part of the table is kept closed and each day begins to weigh more for the crossings of the final phase. Teams such as Malacateco, Guastatoya and Mixco are also expecting to get into the first eight positions.
With matches yet to be played this Sunday, the table could continue to change. However, ancient and communications have already sent a clear message: they are ready to fight until the end for a privileged place in the decisive phase of the Clausura 2025.
