The Public Ministry informed that this Wednesday, May 14, the Prosecutor’s Office against Trafficking in Persons carried out the proceedings of search, inspection, registration and kidnapping of evidence at the headquarters of the Lev Tahor sect.
The proceedings are developed at kilometer 94.5 of the Amatillo, Oratory, Santa Rosa, in monitoring of investigations for the crime of trafficking in persons, in its forced and servile marriage modality, as well as for abuse against minors, according to the investigating entity.
The Lev Tahor sect is under investigation for possible abuse against minors.
In 2024 proceedings were also carried out at the headquarters, and several minors were rescued, who were transferred to state households for their protection.
In addition, some group leaders have been captured, pointed out to commit abuse and forced marriages.
Members of this sect have expressed several times in the capital, to reject the actions of the authorities.
