The Guatemala National Team will play with its blue uniform in the match against Suriname, which will be played this Friday at the Dr. Franklin Essed Stadium, in Paramaribo, for the third date of the final phase of the qualifiers towards the 2026 World Cup.
The national team will take the field with the away kit, the traditional blue camisole with a diagonal white stripe, which in the past was the main uniform of the Bicolor in international competitions.
In the first two matches of this final phase, Guatemala presented its white uniform with blue stripe, both at the Cementos Progreso stadium, from zone 6 of the capital, as in Rommel Fernández.
On the opening day they lost 0-1 against El Salvador, while on the second date rescued a 1-1 draw on their visit to Panama, results that place it in a position where it needs to score points to stay in the fight for classification.
For this commitment in Surinamese territory, the Bicolor will once again wear the historic blue outfit, andrecalling remembered moments of the team in previous decades and seeking its first victory in this knockout stage.
The duel will be key for Guatemala’s aspirations in Group A, on a day in which El Salvador and Panama will also face each other, a match that could directly influence the standings.
The match between Suriname and Guatemala is scheduled to be played this Friday at 3:00 p.m. (Guatemala time) at the Dr. Franklin Essed Stadium.
