The National Civil Police (PNC) reported this Thursday, April 16, that, at the La Aurora International Airport, zone 13, they captured a man for extradition purposes.

He added that police from the Division of Ports, Airports and Border Posts captured Pedro “N”, 46 years old, wanted by the Honduran authorities.

The arrest was carried out in compliance with an order issued on February 26, in which he was charged with the crime of tax fraud, according to the PNC.

After his capture, the suspect was placed at the disposal of the corresponding court to continue with the legal process, the police report added.

So far in 2026, 23 extraditables have been captured; Of these, 14 are for drug trafficking issues and nine for other crimes.

In another case, the PNC reported that in the Monterrey neighborhood, zone 4 of Retalhuleu, police from Police Station 34 captured Emerson “N”, 20 years old, who was surprised when he snatched, under death threats, a woman’s cell phone.

He added that the detainee has a prison sentence for stealing phones in March 2025.
