A 14-year-old teenager was shot to death on the afternoon of this Wednesday, April 22, in the parking lot of a business, at km 53 of the Inter-American Route, zone 5 of the capital of Chimaltenango, when he was preparing to buy clothes with a family member. The attack, committed by unknown persons, is the second armed incident recorded in that town in the week, reported the Departmental Municipal Firefighters of El Tejar.
According to witnesses, the minor was going to buy clothes with one of his uncles when he was attacked by unknown gunshots.
The uncle was unharmed, according to authorities.
At the moment, the authorities have not revealed a hypothesis of the event.
Prosecutors from the Public Ministry are at the scene to collect evidence that contributes to the investigation.
This is the second armed attack recorded so far this week in the Chimaltenango capital.
The first incident occurred last Monday at km 61 of the Inter-American Highway, in the Puerto Rico neighborhood, where a man traveling on a motorcycle was attacked by gunfire.
The victim died at the scene.
