CSJ rejects pretrial proceedings against Attorney General Consuelo Porras and deputies from various benches

The Supreme Court of Justice (CSJ) rejected this Wednesday, April 22, several preliminary lawsuits presented against the attorney general and head of the Public Ministry (MP), María Consuelo Porras Argueta, as well as against deputies from the Vamos, Unidad Nacional de la Esperanza (UNE) and Raíces benches.

According to the CSJ, during the ordinary session of the plenary session of magistrates, different files were heard, which were rejected in líminethat is, without knowing the substance of the complaints.

Among the rejected cases is the pretrial against Allan Estuardo Rodríguez Reyes, deputy for Vamos, promoted by legislator Sonia María Gutiérrez Raguay. Several actions against Samuel Andrés Pérez Álvarez, deputy of Raíces, presented by the Public Ministry and other actors were also dismissed.

Likewise, the magistrates rejected requests against the independent deputy David Mauricio Illescas Sandoval and against a group of UNE legislators, including José Inés Castillo Martínez and Lourdes Teresita de León Torres.

In the case of Attorney General María Consuelo Porras Argueta, the CSJ dismissed at least two lawsuits filed by Juan Francisco Solórzano Foppa and by deputy José Alberto Chic Cardona, from VOS.

Likewise, a pretrial brought by several deputies against members of the UNE was rejected, as was another action against Rodríguez Reyes.

The CSJ did not detail in its statement the specific reasons for each resolution, but confirmed that all appeals were rejected in the initial phase of the process.
