The Clausura 2026 Tournament comes to a close this Sunday, April 26, with a final day that promises to be historic. The six games will be played simultaneously at 3:00 PM, ensuring that no team has an informational advantage over the others at the decisive moment.
Title, relegation and qualification to the quarterfinals are defined in the same afternoon, in what is one of the tightest and most exciting final days that the National League has experienced in recent years.
In the Clausura table, four teams arrive with real options to be crowned champions of the Clausura 2026 table. Xelajú MC and Mixco lead tied with 36 points, while Municipal and Comunicaciones follow them with 35 units each. Only one point separates the leader from fourth place, meaning that any of the four can finish the day with the trophy in their hands depending on the combination of results.
In the lower part, the second relegation is not defined either, with Marquense, Guastatoya, Malacateco and Mictlán fighting not to accompany Achuapa in the fall to the First Division. And to close the drama, there is a ticket to the quarterfinals in dispute between Guastatoya with 28 points and Mictlán with 26.
The fight for the title
Xelajú and Mixco lead with 36 points, followed by Municipal and Comunicaciones, with 35. Xelajú needs to win or Mixco does not add; Mixco will be champion if it beats Municipal. The reds must win and expect stumbles, while the creams depend on a similar combination. Four teams, one crown.
The second descent
Marquense has 53 points and a draw is enough to save itself. Guastatoya, Malacateco and Mictlán have 50, but the latter are more committed due to goal difference. Mictlán must win and wait for results, while Guastatoya and Malacateco depend on themselves. The duel between Guastatoya and Marquense will define permanence.
The last ticket and the singles
The last place in the quarterfinals is disputed between Guastatoya (28 points) and Mictlán (26), with an advantage for the locals. Individually, Nicolás Martínez leads the scoring with 15 goals, with William Fajardo as the only candidate to reach it. The least defeated goalkeeper will also be defined.
