The First Division of Guatemalan soccer has ready the details of the most decisive phase of the Clausura 2026 tournament.
This Monday, during the congress ofl Executive Committee of the First Division League. confirmed days, times and venues of the round-trip matches of the semifinalsan instance in which Nueva Santa Rosa, Deportivo San Pedro FC, Suchitepéquez and Chichicasteco FC will seek the title and, above all, the ticket to direct promotion to the National League.
The crossroads were defined after completing the second leg matches of the quarterfinals, with four teams that arrive in good football moment and with fans that have pushed for each place.
The congress also established that, for this stage, the organization will apply specific guidelines in transmission, arbitration and entry logistics to the stadiums, with the aim of guaranteeing order and equity in a phase of highly competitive demand.
One of the central points approved is the obligation to broadcast the four semi-final matches, both home and away. The First Division established that failure to comply with this provision will result in a fine of Q100, the guideline applies to both series and to the two matches of each bracket.
In the arbitration section, it was determined that the referees will be appointed from the National League, with the aim of raising the standard of control and experience in highly demanding matches. In addition, it was highlighted that the same referees will not be the ones who direct the round trip of each series.
VISITING FANS
In terms of security and capacity, a strict posture was confirmed in the series between Nueva Santa Rosa and Deportivo San Pedro FC, where visiting fans will not be allowed in either of the two scenarios. Nueva Santa Rosa will not authorize access for Sampedrano fans, and San Pedro will adopt the same measure due to space limitations in its stadium.
The situation is different in the other key. In the series between Suchitepéquez and Chichicasteco FC, a visitor presence will be allowed, although with limited spaces: 500 fans will be able to enter the Carlos Salazar Hijo stadium, in Mazatenango, while 150 fans will be allowed access to Tzocomá. For both games, the entry cost for visiting fans will be Q100.
As part of the security provisions, it was also notified that the entry of musical instruments into the Tzocomá and Carlos Salazar Jr. stadiums is not authorized, a measure that seeks to facilitate controls and avoid incidents.
