The National Civil Police (PNC) reported that this Friday, May 8, an operation carried out by investigators from the Transnational Anti-Gang Center, anti-narcotics police and investigators from the Transnational Crimes Prosecutor’s Office of the Public Ministry allowed the dismantling of a criminal structure dedicated to drug trafficking that operated in the ports of San José and Iztapa, Escuintla.

He added that he carried out 13 raids to capture 11 people accused of being part of the criminal organization, among them the alleged ringleader Allende “N”, alias “Allende”, as well as alleged logistics coordinators and operators linked to the transporting drugs in shark-type fishing boats.

Also among those detained are Miguel “N”, Jhonny “N”, Óscar “N”, Walter “N”, Abdías “N”, Otto “N”, Juan “N” and Félix “N”.

The detainees are wanted by a Guatemalan court for the crimes of criminal associations, media facilitation and conspiracy for illicit trade, trafficking and storage, according to orders issued on May 5, according to the police report. The operation was called #NarcoReddelMar.

The PNC recalled that, as a background to the case, in 2025, 898 kilos of cocaine were located in a property known as “Rancho Allende”, property of the alleged leader of the organization.

The investigation began in 2024 and continues to be developed to determine possible links with other networks dedicated to transnational drug trafficking, he warned.

According to the PNC, Mario “N” was also captured during the operation, wanted by a court in Escuintla for a case of violence against women.
