The National Civil Police (PNC) reported this Friday, May 8, that agents captured a man who was hiding more than US$50,000 (Q381,000) inside a fumigation bomb.

He added that, at kilometer 496 of route CA-13, in La Libertad, Petén, police detained Timoteo “N”, 45 years old.

According to the PNC, the now captured man was transporting a fumigation bomb in the P-895KFX pick-up truck in which he was hiding US$52,470.

They also confiscated two rifles, a pistol, six hoppers and 93 ammunition.

Agents also seized two radio transmitters and two cell phones in the vehicle.

In another case, the PNC reported the capture of Edyn “N”, 23 years old, alias “Yiyo”. The suspect was captured by police from Police Station 35 during a security patrol in the village of Los Chatos, La Gomera, Escuintla.
