The National Civil Police confirmed the discovery of a lifeless woman completely charred on the morning of May 9 in a clandestine garbage dump located on a dirt street in the village of Vega Arriba, Chiquimula.
According to the police report, the victim could not be identified at the scene due to the condition of the body. However, it was preliminarily indicated that he would be approximately 37 years old.
The deceased was wearing black lycra-type pants and a white shirt. Authorities indicated that no belongings or evidence were located at the scene.
According to the preliminary investigation, the victim’s son told investigators that his mother He left his home on Thursday, May 7, intoxicated.at approximately 3 p.m., aboard a gray pasola-type motorcycle, heading to a car wash located in the El Molino neighborhood, Chiquimula.
The relative reported that around midnight the woman returned only to leave the motorcycle and later left again in a vehicle accompanied by a man, and indicated that she was going to meet a friend. From that moment on They had no communication with her until the body was found.
The authorities also documented the testimony of a person who preferred to omit his identity, who assured that the now deceased was allegedly dedicated to the distribution of drugs at gas stations and other points where alcoholic beverages were consumed.
Prosecutors and investigators from the Public Ministry and agents from the DEIC went to the scene, who processed the scene to establish the motive for the crime and the full identity of the victim.
The body was transferred to the National Institute of Forensic Sciences for the corresponding procedures.
