The Confederation Brazilian Football Association (CBF) announced this Thursday the renewal of Carlo Ancelotti’s contract as Brazil coach until the 2030 World Cup.

In a statement, the CBF indicated that the decision responds to the “confidence” in the work of the Italian coach since his arrival in May 2025, as well as the support he has received from the team and the fans.

“We are very happy to announce that we will continue together for four more years. We are going together until the 2030 World Cup,” Ancelotti said in a video released by the entity.

“I arrived in Brazil a year ago and from the first moment I understood what football represents for this country. We have worked to return the team to the top, but both CBF like me want more,” added the former Real Madrid and Bayern Munich coach.

In his first year at the head of the Canarinha, Ancelotti has coached ten games, with a record of five wins, two draws and three losses, in addition to 18 goals in favor and eight against.

The Italian had a valid contract until the end of the World Cup between the United States, Mexico and Canada, which will be held between June and July of this year. However, from the end of 2025 Its continuity was already being negotiated, which was finally made official this Thursday.

The announcement comes a few days before Ancelotti announces the final squad list for the next World Cup.
