Crashed tanker truck complicates mobility on the route to the Pacific

The Municipal Traffic Police (PMT) of Villa Nueva reported that this Thursday, May 14, the accident of a tanker truck with fuel was reported at kilometer 19 of the route to the Pacific, heading south.

Dalia Santos, spokesperson for the PMT, indicated that the accident occurred at the entrance to the viaduct that connects with the Linda Vista neighborhood, zone 4 of Villa Nueva.

He explained that the tanker truck collided with the base that divides the main lanes and the viaduct.

He added that the passage was temporarily interrupted, as two cranes maneuvered to remove the heavy transport vehicle.

He warned that there is a presence of firefighters in the area because there is fuel spilled on the asphalt.

Santos added that due to what happened there are transit complications to the south of the route to the Pacific.

The PMT of the capital reported that a person was run over and killed on the La Paz road, to the north, under the Belize bridge, zone 17.
