A 17-year-old teenager was referred by investigators from the Specialized Criminal Investigation Division (DEIC), accused of being the alleged perpetrator of the armed attack against a French diplomat, which occurred on May 5 on Liberación Boulevard and 2a. avenue, zone 13 of the capital.
The arrest was carried out during a series of raids carried out by the National Civil Police (PNC) and prosecutors from the Public Ministry (MP) in properties in zone 7 of the capital.
According to the Police, during the investigation they were looking for those responsible for the attack, as well as firearms and motorcycles allegedly used in the incident.
During the raids, authorities located motorcycle helmets, cell phones, clothing and other evidence that will be analyzed as part of the investigation.
The minor is charged with the crime of attempted murder for having shot at the diplomat, who was injured and was transferred to a private hospital in zone 14, while his pilot was unharmed.
The preliminary version of the Police indicates that the armed attack could be linked to an attempted assault.
