Between Tuesday, May 19 and Friday, May 22, the Tourist Archaeological Convention will take place. The event is aimed at guide operators, tour guides, tour operators and tourism students, who will have the opportunity to be in contact with specialists and topics related to archeology.

Among the guests are archaeologist Richard Hansen, who will talk about the Mirador Basin, as well as guide Pablo Najarro, who will talk about the birds of Tikal.

One of the topics will be artificial intelligence in the interpretation of Mayan art, led by the interpreter of cultural and natural heritage Armando Palomo.

The activities will take place at different locations. On Tuesday the 19th and Wednesday the 20th they will take place at the Manuel Baldizón Auditorium, in Santa Elena, FloresPetén, admission is free; On Thursday the 21st there will be a meeting point to travel to Tikal, and on Friday the 22nd, to Yaxhá, participants are suggested to purchase a ticket in advance if they do not have a guide card.
