The rain forecast for this week is associated with local conditions and the passage of an easterly wave, that interacts with the instability of the Pacific.

The prevailing weather conditions are favorable for severe local storms, the forecast added.

He explained that the analyzes carried out and the outputs of meteorological models reflect that the possibility of rain increases starting this week from regions from the south to the center of the country.

For the Motagua region and the eastern valleys, a warm and foggy environment is expected during the day. In addition, there will be the possibility of rain with electrical activity. lMaximum temperatures will be between 40 and 42 degrees Celsius.

In regions of the Pacific there will be a warm and humid environment. The possibility of rain increases starting Wednesday. Maximum temperatures will range between 35 and 38 degrees Celsius.

While, on the central plateau, which includes the capital, there will be areas with morning fog, little cloudiness and a warm and humid environment. The possibility of rain with electrical activity is not ruled out. For the capital, maximum temperatures will be between 28 and 30 degrees Celsius; for the central and western highlands, between 26 and 33 degrees Celsius.

In the northern region, Alta Verapaz, the Caribbean and the Northern Transversal Strip there will be a possibility of rain, and maximum temperatures will range between 30 and 40 degrees Celsius.
