The National Civil Police (PNC) reported this Friday, May 22, that, after rapid police action, agents captured four people accused of the death of a Honduran couple in Huehuetenango.
The PNC added that the double crime occurred in a property in sector II of El Cambote, zone 11 of Huehuetenango.
Agents from Police Station 43, with support from the Lobos Immediate Reaction Group, captured four suspects in zone 9 of that city.
According to the PNC, the detainees are José “N”, 28 years old, alias “Chuy”; Set “N”, of 26, alias “Chejo”; Wilber “N”, 26, alias “Morenazo”; and Ervin “N”, 28, alias “El Nene”.
The police report details that the first two are from the capital and the other two from Huehuetenango.
The detainees were intercepted when they were fleeing in a pickup truck, a motorcycle and an armored truck, allegedly owned by one of the deceased, the PNC stated.
In addition, two pistols that they were carrying illegally and three cell phones were seized.

“According to the investigation, the detainees allegedly had a meeting at night with Rony Valdez, alias “El Catracho” (deceased), allegedly the leader of a criminal structure dedicated to hitmen in Huehuetenango and, after an argument, they killed him along with his partner,” the PNC reported.
Three minors were rescued from the property and handed over to the corresponding authorities for their protection and safekeeping, the PNC indicated.
“It is presumed that the detainees and the deceased are members of a criminal structure, so the investigation continues,” the Police noted.
