The creator of Waze defends that a common problem can be an opportunity to undertake

“If you think that your problem only happens to you, go to the therapist, it will be cheaper; but if you think you can share it with someone else in the world, think about the solution, think about creating value,” he said in a relaxed tone.

The entrepreneur and disseminator has insisted that entrepreneurship means “committing to oneself to achieve the goal, accepting that you will have to sacrifice things” and that this process is a long road with good and bad moments.

Thus, during his talk he encouraged attendees not to become discouraged, since, with his experience, success is achieved after failing several times: “It is going to be a long trip, imagine that you are in the desert, you walk a lot and only see sand, many give up and a few continue until the solution fits into the market.”

In an interview with EFEhas taken Waze as a reference, which emerged for its own benefit and to avoid wasting time on the way to work, but observed the opportunity to create more value for other drivers.

Given that ConX 2026 is an event, held in Palma with an attendance of more than 1 thousand tourism professionals from around the world, according to figures offered by the organizers – who collaborate with EFE in the dissemination of this content -, focused on tourism, Uri Levine has commented that in this field data management is fundamental and that this can help them define what makes them relevant in the market and what tools they have to achieve it.

In addition, he has asked that they use AI as a new source of opportunities, but without forgetting that the user must be at the center of development and that any innovation must be relevant to them.

In this sense, the CTPO of Travelgate, Óscar Pérez Fuentes, has considered that entrepreneurship is something innate in many companies in the tourism sector, since they are born as ‘startups’ “with few resources, rationalizing and then there is a moment in which you can grow.”

Faced with this journey, for him perseverance is key and “more so now with the artificial intelligence part” that helps to democratize this aspect since “with less costs you can achieve what you previously needed a lot of investment.”

At Travelgate they also wanted to highlight their FastX platform, with which they allow buyers to obtain aggregated content from several sellers in a single response, which reduces the technical burden of managing individual connections and manual correspondence tables.
